well, the new YSL branding has been revealed (a while ago, yes, we’ve been on vacation!) here we go:
it was a smart move to keep the logo YSL - I love how the logo somehow looks like a woman sitting with her legs crossed, pushed off to the side. brands have to change with the times, and in contrast to some of the strategizing flying around about why, I would surmise Hedi Slimane made the changes because they made sense to him for where the brand needs to go and how best to compete in market. I think the new branding is modern, relevant and will serve well to revitalize the brand. and from what I hear, his first collection sounds so nice. read about it here.
